Gascony Vineyards, in the Missouri Ozark Highlands - the first organically grown vineyard in Missouri. It was deemed impossible, which made owners Trish Hohn & Tim Ley determined. Starting with ideal terroir, followed up by intensive site preparation, hours of methodology study, and plain hard work, they made a sustainable dream come true. Now, in partnership with Wenwood Farm Winery, that dream will bear fruit as “Simply Chambourcin” Dry Red Wine, a testament to the possibilities of organic viticulture, and a toast to the future.

One of the really healthy components of red wines is resveratrol. A very interesting thing about this compound is that it can go up in vines that have been exposed to the different stresses of organic farming, where we tolerate certain conditions chemicals could eradicate. The resveratrol content of our Simply Chambourcin should be very high. . .and we will measure it and provide that data once the wine is in the bottle. So drink up, and here's to your health!
